Summit teamed up for an intense three-on-three basketball tournament to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. The “Summit Showdown” raised nearly $300 for the cause while also welcoming some healthy competition into the workplace environment. Six teams participated in the event:
- Below the Rim
- Covfefe
- Coffee is for Closers
- No Parking
- Lavar Ballers
- We Don’t Have a Name
Just like at our annual lawn bowling tournament, things got a little extreme.
Team Below the Rim took the tournament by storm, with account manager Bryce sinking three-pointers like it was his job. The winners each received a $25 gift card from Punch Pizza, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit or Cowboy Slim’s. Summit offers a warm thank you to the generous donors of these prizes.
Even though it felt good to get the competitive juices flowing and sneak some team bonding into the work day, it felt even better to give back. The proceeds we raised will go toward the Alzheimer’s Association’s research efforts for a cure as well as awareness campaigns.
